A Christmas Without Jesus

Today is December 25th, the day in ancient Babylon when the Feast of the Son of Isis was celebrated with “Raucous partying, gluttonous eating and drinking, and gift-giving” and the main reasons that in 350 A.D. Pope Julius I declared this day the day that Christ’s birthday would be celebrated—so it wouldn’t be as hard to swallow for the pagan Romans who were still in the majority. One would think that Christians would do some research into their own fairy tale, yet if you talk to most Christians they still think that December 25th was the actual day of Jesus’ birth. They also believe that Mary was a virgin, god bless them.

Now I don’t think it matters when Jesus was born, as my dog Abandon illustrated clearly to me one year on her birthday…

I lit a candle and told her, “Today’s your birthday, my little terror,”

She said to me, “You love me, right?”

I answered, “Of course.”

She then asked, “And you love me on all the days the same, right—no more on one day than another?”

I said, “It doesn’t matter what day of the week or year it is, my love for you is full and complete.”

“So then why do you pick this one day of the year to light a candle?”

“I don’t know, tradition?”

“I rather you rub my belly and scratch my lower back every day of the year and forget about the fuckin’ candle.”

Both Abandon and Jesus don’t give a shit about us picking a random day of the year to celebrate their respective birthdays, whether it originates from a pagan holiday or an estimate from the shelter.

So since this day is a group hallucination and I haven’t drunk from the Kool-Aid spiked with fear and mindlessness, and since we’ve had to hear about this god-forsaken holiday since the day after Thanksgiving when the retailers started their “Spend Money, You Morons” campaign, I think I’d like to spend this Christmas day talking about Jews and Muslims.

I was raised in a Jewish family but I never really gave a crap about Israel or anything Jewish. I spent the days in Sunday school screwing around and lighting paper towels on fire in the bathroom and the only thing I knew about Israel was that it was a country where apparently a lot of people wore yarmulkes.

It wasn’t until I started hearing a bunch of people talk about how the evil “Jews” displaced the sweet-hearted Palestinians from their land and how the Israeli soldiers respond to the simple gesture of Palestinians throwing rocks at their heads in order to express symbolically that, “We all deserve to live on this land and removing even a single rock is creating a hole that cannot be filled with anything but pain,” that I decided to research just what the heck was going on in this battle zone.

While theories and philosophies and dogmas, only contain two poles, “RIGHT” and “WRONG,” real life is filled with paradoxes and contradictions and many shades of gray. For most of us raised under the strict ruler-beating regime of “Was it a ball or a strike? Say it!! SAY IT!!!” it is next to impossible to respond, “Uh, both?” without taking a serious thrashing.

I had started to put some items together, from newspaper clippings and WebPages and a superball that bounced really well into a large manila envelope in preparation for the definitive piece I would someday write on the Middle-East conflict called The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: They’re Both Fuckin’ Idiots! Because this topic is very serious and important and I am a clown who only writes about nonsense, I decided to file the envelope in an area that rarely sees the sun: Hillary Clinton’s dusty vagina. I slid it in between the gun that killed Martin Luther King Jr. and the remains of the aliens from the Roswell crash and I’ll tell you, the smell alone was so nauseating that I decided I would never retrieve the envelope even if it meant forsaking a Nobel Prize in journalism (hey, in the Bizarro World where Al Whore could get one for falsifying science and Barack Obama gets one for his rhetoric about peace while sending more troops to war, anything is possible!) To this day I still regret that I didn’t take out that great-bouncing superball.

So rather than writing about “They did this!” “Oh yeah, but they did this!” I want to just focus this Middle-East piece on your consciousness and how because of brainwashing and conditioning, you are guided to ask certain specific questions but not others that would probably be more useful in helping you come to Truth.

I’ve heard shouted over and over, from Palestinian Rights groups, to Pro-Lifers and Animal Rights people who decided they wanted to expand their terrain, that “They took their land!” [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KLni3wbndls#movie_player] but what I’ve never heard anyone question is what seems to be the concluding part of that statement, “…so that means it’s okay if they kill innocent women and children by placing bombs in pizza places and discos.”

Now this might be more understandable if you grew up in a community where at a very young age you had a towel tied so tightly on your head that it inhibited blood flow to your brain and you had an AK-47 shoved into your hand and were given the sacred mantra, “KILL THE JEWS.” But for the rest of us who had proper circulation to our brains and the only thing put into our hands at a young age was our pastor’s cock, not even Jesus would be able to forgive this kind of stupidity.

All these bleeding hearts should be up in arms every time they hear about their oppressed sweethearts killing someone in cold blood. I mean, I’m an animal rights guy but if I read that a Koala bear took a First-Class ticket to America and killed an innocent child you bet your ass I would ask how the hell he was able to afford a First-Class ticket. But not a word from the choir if it is not in their prepared songbook.

When Israel left their occupation of Gaza, in between wacking-off to images of Jessica Alba snorkeling, I would stroke it thinking about a thriving Palestinian State in Gaza. What happened? The Palestinians destroyed just about everything in site, from Jewish sacred sites and gravestones to the greenhouses that Jewish organizations had spent $14 million dollars in order to provide Palestinians with jobs. The borders of Gaza also became the biggest black market arms dealership the world had ever seen. I did admire the Palestinians living in the moment, though, for rather than waiting until the afterlife to reside for eternity in Hell, they created it right then and there for themselves.

I was at a Tax Honesty rally in Washington, D.C. and there was a Palestinian group with a large presence. They didn’t travel from all over the country to support investigation into the fraudulent Income Tax but were there to push their agenda. I asked one of the people who had only negative things to say about Israel and the Jews, “What about the greenhouses that were funded by Jewish organizations that provided lots of jobs for the Palestinians that the Palestinians destroyed upon Israel’s evacuation of the area?”

He told me, “Have you been to Gaza? I have. The greenhouse jobs are crappy.”

I asked him, “But who are you, or the Palestinians who destroyed them, to decide for and put out of work other Palestinians who were using those jobs to better their and their family’s situation?

They say if push comes to shove, every white man will call a black man a nigger, which is one of the reasons why I use the word so much, in order to avoid being pushed and shoved. Whether it was my confrontational style or his pre-agenda, the Palestinian activist essentially called me a nigger—for asking questions.

And therein lied the light bulb moment: Any group that doesn’t allow you to ask questions that challenge the current dogma being pushed is a cult.

I am not saying Palestinians aren’t suffering. They are. And despite the fact that I had my heart surgically removed and replaced with a lump of coal, I don’t like to see them suffer. I could argue that the reason they are suffering is as much due to the fact that their “leadership” has sold them out in order to use them as poster children for their press campaign against Israel as it is a result of Israel’s oppression.  I don’t even want to get into that now.

What I want to ask is why is it that every time a Palestinian group kills an innocent child, rather than hearing voices of opposition from the “choir,” all I hear is justifications? If I think the long dead and buried CIA asset Osama bin Laden is a bad man, killing his wife and children doesn’t make me a martyr—it makes me a ruthless killer. Two Palestinian boys are killed in a crossfire during a conflict and the next day two Israeli boys who were camping are savagely killed and skinned by revenging Palestinians. And what do I read in the papers: “Two Palestinian Children Killed, Two Israeli Children Killed” along with talk from the “choir” that seems to say, “Now we’re even.” Killing an innocent person never clears a slate of pain; it only creates more suffering.

Golda Meir, a former Israeli politician and one of the founders of Israel, said, We will have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.” But instead we see Palestinian mothers happy to see their young sons to die as “martyrs” and tears from Israeli mothers to see their young sons taken from them. And what do we hear about this from the bleeding-heart “activists”? Nothing.

Justifying the destruction of the greenhouses in Gaza as the Palestinians just “letting off some steam” is not only a big “fuck you” to the Jewish groups that funded it not for Jews but for Palestinians, but shows that you are an unthinking cult member who can’t criticize your own group. Israeli’s are under daily threat of terrorism and bombings and yet on the whole they have not allowed their frustration to allow them to justify destroying Muslim holy sites or gravesites on their land and those that do are not lauded but punished.

When Lebanon was hurling rockets over the border into Israeli cities, the world criticized Israel for going into Lebanon and cracking some heads. What should they have done? If Mexico launched rockets into Texas would anyone criticize us for bombing those wetbacks? I heard criticism of Israel for this and I even heard that “The missiles were really not that destructive.” What the fu—? I’m asking you bleeding-heart pussies, what should Israel have done? According to you: nothing. They should have let their citizens be bombed, having their property and lives destroyed.

Seriously, even if I believed that Florida was overcrowded and so all the retired Jews went to a country that never existed called “Palestine” and kicked out the residents and renamed it “Israel” and lived there for 60 years and then the Palestinians launched rockets into Israel, as much as I might voice that I am against the State of Israel, I would not question their right to fight back.

If the Native Peoples of this nation started to claim their right to the land of America, I might support their cause. But if they started throwing tomahawks into cities and killing innocent people, I wouldn’t cry, “Bloody murder!” if the National Guard gave them the Rodney King treatment. But then again, I am not a fundamentalist moron, whether armed with explosives or picket signs.

For every offense committed by an Israeli—and there are offenses—the bleeding-heart activists arrange more demonstrations and a dozen more U.N. propositions are created against Israel. But what do these activists do when Palestinians commit atrocities—not just against Israelis but against their own people? Nothing.

I’ve heard rhetoric, including from George Bush, how “Islam is a peaceful religion and it is only a few who have hijacked the religion.” Why don’t I hear this from the supposed “moderate” Muslims every time the fundamentalists commit yet another atrocious act of animalistic violence? Some say they are scared that they will be killed. What kind of faith is it you have in Allah if you don’t think that he will either protect you for speaking Truth or if you do get wacked that you will not still be swimming in rivers of wine with Mohammed in Muslim fantasy Heaven?

If you really honored Allah, wouldn’t you speak up against his name being used in vain—not by going out on a killing spree when some stupid Guantanamo prison guard flushes a Koran down the toilet or a school teacher names the class rabbit “Mohammed” after a class vote? Islam means “peace.” Are you a defender of peace or a defender of violence? Are you a defender of love or a defender of hatred? Are you a defender of God or a defender of dogma?

I don’t have to insult Muslims, for they insult themselves when they force their women to be covered up and beat and kill them for exposing their arms or being raped by one of their own family. And what do the bleeding-heart activists have to say when they do this? Nothing. I am insulting you, oh brave Christian, with your armchair politicking and your bleeding-heart agenda when all you have shown is that you are just another mindless soldier but instead of fighting in Allah’s war, you declare Jesus to be General in your War of Hate.

You may say, “Oh, you only say this because you are a Jew.” I’m not a Jew, I’m not a Palestinian, I’m not a Muslim, and except for my propensity for little boys, I am definitely not a Christian; I have allegiance or loyalty to no one but Truth. I rather you reflect on the questions I have presented, rather than waste your time seeking to assign me to a group in order to avoid questioning yourself and disturbing your safe little world.

I have had a popular raw food speaker tell me personally that a certain person in the cult of raw foodism was no longer being invited to speak at her organization because of his contrary views. She deceives herself that she is helping her people but all she is doing is giving her children textbooks that say, “There is no Israel” and expecting them to grow up well-rounded and able to draw conclusions for themselves based on all the available information.

It is only when the choir starts questioning itself that it will experience growth. When it becomes crystallized in its dogma, it has killed all growth and what it may call a “movement” is nothing but a stagnant, lifeless pool of dead words and rituals.

Dr. Hamid Tawfik was once an Islamic extremist and is now an Islamic thinker and reformer. A reformer doesn’t desire us to live in a modern Stone Age like the Flintstones but to live and beautify today’s world. For an 8-minute video where Dr. Tawfik sings out his song of Truth with total disregard whether it sounds off-key to the Choir of Lies or not, go to: [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2wvqDfitLY]

Dr. Tawfik is a modern hero and when more people value Truth and their Sacred Honor more than membership to any particular cult, when they start to formulate their own questions and come to their own conclusions instead of spitting out the ready-made ones with which they are supplied, they will transform not only themselves but the world.

It is much easier to cast another out of the Garden and blame them for the fall of Man rather than doing the weeding required to keep Eden alive. By being a gardener you will support life; by being a bouncer you will be too busy keeping others out of the party to enjoy it yourself.

No one reached enlightenment, or God, by reciting memorized experiences and conversations between God and others. They reached it by having their own experiences and their own personal conversations.

“If you carry beliefs you will come again and again to experiences which don’t fit the belief, and then there is the tendency of the mind not to see those experiences, not to take note of them because they are very disturbing. They destroy your belief and you want to cling to your belief. Then you become more and more blind to life—belief becomes a blindfold on the eyes…What are you going to choose—the belief or the experience? The tendency of the mind is to choose the belief, to forget about the experience. That’s how you have been missing many opportunities when God has knocked at your door.”
