Diving into your deep blue orbs

The whole world quiets under their intensity

An overwhelm that stops words

From settling into thoughts

    …and I see everything

 

Though I feel a terror

Frozen like an animal

Caught in the gaze of a predator

Even if my legs did not fail me

I would not run

     I want you to swallow me

     devour me whole

 

When we are apart

My spirit is dancing

Waiting to submerge in your stare

And swim in your eyes again
